Justin started Zen Edge with the idea of being able to sharpen his and his wife’s grooming tools at an affordable price. With already 20 years experience sharpening knives, farming/gardening tools, and more on whetstones and grinders he felt he was ready to tackle this next type of tool. He soon learned that sharpening professional shears was completely different from sharpening a pair of house scissors. Learning this he began to seek out training. Within a few months he became certified in sharpening Salon/Groomer Shears and Clipper Blades by a Master Sharpener. Immediately he began applying this new skill on his own grooming equipment. He reached his first 100 shear sharpening’s within a month and felt he could offer a much needed service by providing affordable sharpening. Now he sharpens for many of Virginia’s phenomenal businesses and individuals!
